The seated figure appears between two pillars, with a scroll partly concealed in her lap.

Upright: a starting interpretation

Make space to reflect and acknowledge what you do not yet know. The keywords reflection, uncertainty describe a theme to examine in your present situation. Compare that theme with something you have actually noticed; it need not explain every part of your question.

Reversed: a question to explore

Silence can support reflection, but it can also hide a question that needs to be asked.

A reversal can suggest an inward, blocked or overemphasized theme. It does not automatically mean the opposite of the upright card. Decide whether it fits the question and the position you chose.

A question for your journal

What do I need to observe longer, and what information should I ask for directly?

Bring it into a spread

Write what you know and what remains unclear before making a commitment.

Choose your positions before drawing. Use Situation / Obstacle / Next step to keep the meaning connected to your question. Your own observations can differ from these notes.
