Upright: a starting interpretation

Acknowledge a painful truth or disappointment and consider support for processing it. The keywords heartache, a painful truth describe a theme to examine in your present situation. Compare that theme with something you have actually noticed; it need not explain every part of your question.

Reversed: a question to explore

Pain may be turned into a conclusion about your worth instead of a feeling to process.

A reversal can suggest an inward, blocked or overemphasized theme. It does not automatically mean the opposite of the upright card. Decide whether it fits the question and the position you chose.

A question for your journal

What hurt can I name without treating it as the whole story?

Bring it into a spread

Put the difficult experience into words and choose a trusted person to talk with.

Choose your positions before drawing. Use Situation / Obstacle / Next step to keep the meaning connected to your question. Your own observations can differ from these notes.
