Upright: a starting interpretation

Compare possible directions and make a realistic plan before committing. The keywords planning, direction describe a theme to examine in your present situation. Compare that theme with something you have actually noticed; it need not explain every part of your question.

Reversed: a question to explore

Planning may be protecting you from the uncertainty of choosing.

A reversal can suggest an inward, blocked or overemphasized theme. It does not automatically mean the opposite of the upright card. Decide whether it fits the question and the position you chose.

A question for your journal

Which possibility fits my resources as well as my ambition?

Bring it into a spread

Compare two directions using the same time, cost and effort constraints.

Choose your positions before drawing. Use Situation / Obstacle / Next step to keep the meaning connected to your question. Your own observations can differ from these notes.
