Upright: a starting interpretation

Consider whether emotional disengagement is hiding an overlooked opportunity. The keywords disengagement, reconsideration describe a theme to examine in your present situation. Compare that theme with something you have actually noticed; it need not explain every part of your question.

Reversed: a question to explore

Disengagement may be hiding a need for rest or a possibility worth reconsidering.

A reversal can suggest an inward, blocked or overemphasized theme. It does not automatically mean the opposite of the upright card. Decide whether it fits the question and the position you chose.

A question for your journal

Am I declining this because it does not fit, or because I have stopped looking?

Bring it into a spread

Pause before dismissing an offer and identify what would make it relevant.

Choose your positions before drawing. Use Situation / Obstacle / Next step to keep the meaning connected to your question. Your own observations can differ from these notes.
