Upright: a starting interpretation

Check whether protecting resources provides stability or has become overly restrictive. The keywords security, holding tightly describe a theme to examine in your present situation. Compare that theme with something you have actually noticed; it need not explain every part of your question.

Reversed: a question to explore

Protecting resources may be restricting a useful exchange or reasonable enjoyment.

A reversal can suggest an inward, blocked or overemphasized theme. It does not automatically mean the opposite of the upright card. Decide whether it fits the question and the position you chose.

A question for your journal

What am I protecting, and is this limit proportionate to the need?

Bring it into a spread

Review one spending or time boundary and decide whether it still serves its purpose.

Choose your positions before drawing. Use Situation / Obstacle / Next step to keep the meaning connected to your question. Your own observations can differ from these notes.
