Upright: a starting interpretation

Respond to strong feelings with composure, compassion and honest communication. The keywords composure, compassion describe a theme to examine in your present situation. Compare that theme with something you have actually noticed; it need not explain every part of your question.

Reversed: a question to explore

Composure may be suppressing a feeling that needs an honest conversation.

A reversal can suggest an inward, blocked or overemphasized theme. It does not automatically mean the opposite of the upright card. Decide whether it fits the question and the position you chose.

A question for your journal

What feeling can I acknowledge while choosing a measured response?

Bring it into a spread

Pause before replying, name the concern and ask for a practical discussion.

Choose your positions before drawing. Use Situation / Obstacle / Next step to keep the meaning connected to your question. Your own observations can differ from these notes.
