Upright: a starting interpretation

Make a reasoned, fair decision and remain willing to revise it with new evidence. The keywords reason, fair judgement describe a theme to examine in your present situation. Compare that theme with something you have actually noticed; it need not explain every part of your question.

Reversed: a question to explore

A reasoned position may become inflexible when new information arrives.

A reversal can suggest an inward, blocked or overemphasized theme. It does not automatically mean the opposite of the upright card. Decide whether it fits the question and the position you chose.

A question for your journal

What principle guides this decision, and what evidence could change it?

Bring it into a spread

Explain a decision using facts, then invite a relevant correction.

Choose your positions before drawing. Use Situation / Obstacle / Next step to keep the meaning connected to your question. Your own observations can differ from these notes.
