Upright: a starting interpretation

Use clear judgement and boundaries without dismissing feelings or context. The keywords discernment, clear boundaries describe a theme to examine in your present situation. Compare that theme with something you have actually noticed; it need not explain every part of your question.

Reversed: a question to explore

A boundary may be clear but leave too little room for context or feeling.

A reversal can suggest an inward, blocked or overemphasized theme. It does not automatically mean the opposite of the upright card. Decide whether it fits the question and the position you chose.

A question for your journal

How can I be direct without dismissing what matters to someone else?

Bring it into a spread

State a limit and give the other person room to respond.

Choose your positions before drawing. Use Situation / Obstacle / Next step to keep the meaning connected to your question. Your own observations can differ from these notes.
