Upright: a starting interpretation

Consider a small new step while noticing its risks. The keywords beginnings, curiosity describe a theme to examine in your present situation. Compare that theme with something you have actually noticed; it need not explain every part of your question.

Reversed: a question to explore

Excitement may be outrunning preparation, or caution may be preventing any beginning.

A reversal can suggest an inward, blocked or overemphasized theme. It does not automatically mean the opposite of the upright card. Decide whether it fits the question and the position you chose.

A question for your journal

What is the smallest new step I can take with a realistic safeguard?

Bring it into a spread

Try one unfamiliar activity, and decide beforehand how much time or money you can risk.

Choose your positions before drawing. Use Situation / Obstacle / Next step to keep the meaning connected to your question. Your own observations can differ from these notes.
